Which automations are on by default?
Review Requests and Pickup Reminders are enabled out of the box on every plan. Birthday Rebooking and Deposit/Balance reminders are there when you switch them on. Every automation email costs 2¢, drawn from your Buddy Balance — the same wallet that covers AI — and you can top it up any time.
Can I edit an email before it sends?
Yes. Every automation can run in review mode, where Buddy's draft lands in an approval inbox for you to edit and approve before anything reaches a customer. You can also set an automation fully hands-free.
Will customers get emails at odd hours?
No. Hands-free sends are gated to a 9am–7pm window in your bakery's own timezone, so a reminder never lands overnight — even though the engine runs on a fixed daily schedule.
How is this different from a mass email tool?
Automations are triggered by what's actually happening in your bakery — a fulfilled order, an upcoming pickup, a due deposit — and personalized from that order. For one-off blasts to a segment, that's Email Campaigns.
